stacked

another ball game tonight.
xander was totally ready to go, without my help even, as i was sound asleep with cassidy. but he got his uniform, belt, crocs, etc. and woke me up. can he please stop growing. don't get me wrong, love that he can do it all himself, but where did my baby go?
so the team tonight...stacked, for sure. i try to ignore what the other parent's are saying they heard when they start talking about the opposing team, cause i usually don't want to hear it. like tonight...all older 6 year olds, playing together for several seasons, coach used to play for clemson, they can bat, throw and catch....don't want to hear that my baby is about to get pounced on cause the other team managed to get a roster put together to do just that.
for a few minutes we thought maybe our boys scared them, getting some outs in the field and putting out some really good at bats. but, in the end, we did get trounced.
ahhh, as long as the boys don't know the extent of it, they just play and have fun.
think x will look like that when he is six?
