it's a tie!

xander's first official game as a cub ends in a tie.
he did great. got on base his two times up. ran the bases well...really well in fact, cause as he was rounding second to go to third the ball rolled right up to the short stop (on one of its trips around the field and the players try to get it to the pitcher to stop the play). anyway, he most likely would have been tagged out, smart third base coach signaled him back to second, where he went safely! he spent the first two innings in right field. he is quick to jump to action, no matter where the ball ends up. then coaches had him play at short stop for the second half of the game. he had two or three really good stops there. he is so energetic and sometimes so eager to help out the play that he is known to run into the outfield from a position like short stop. but these grounders were right up his alley, and nothing past him! way to go x-man. you love it. we love you and we love watching you love it!
