rain date & "the wall"

so x's second game got rained out....guess when they reschedule games?!? yup, sundays. he is so cool about it, but i feel terrible.

well his third game i had to miss for a rs event at church. i got a phone call after his game asking when i would be home...soon (which usually means in the next two hours...so fun talking stephanie!) but i asked how his game went. his comment "great, great, great! i was a wall. i didn't let anything past me!"
turns out our little ball player really did great. he stopped several ground balls in the out field (which is where the opposing team was actually hitting them!) and almost caught a fly ball. he also had a triple tonight, thanks to some over-throwing by the other team, but again, he watched the base coaches and safely made it to third. he was so excited. he really loves this. i found him asleep with his eye black patches (green for st. patricks day) still on.

did i mention, he got the game ball for his outstanding defensive skills? go x-man!
